Company Background:
Willow Lane
The Willow Lane Trading Estate has been a well established centre of Commerce and Industry for a number of years. With over 150 businesses employing over 2,500 people. The Willow Lane Trading Estate has been a well established centre of Commerce and Industry for a number of years.

The Challenge:
Build a reputation for a Business Estate
Our project was to be a major part of the improvements across the estate. We developed the site so it would promote the estate showing off it’s full potential to new and existing bushiness. The website also becomes an important tool for businesses on the estate to network and keep up to date on their latest news.  We based the website on promoting the skills of each company on the estate there by also promoting the area as a whole. Each business has their own personal profile page which is a micro-site in itself.

Each company has all their important information in an easy to view format. Their contact details, a bio, logo, photograph and personalised maps. The way-finding maps can be downloaded by new clients and contractors to show exactly where they are on the estate. There are driving maps which clearly show the driving route with road signage and one way systems marked up. They also have a map showing their location on the estate itself.

The site has been very successful with the management company receiving many inquiries for vacant premises, job vacancies and possible promotion opportunities.

Website Features:
Crisp, clear, clean design
User friendly
Individual company profile micro sites
Individual company maps

Forty Hall Banqueting

Forty Hall Banqueting

Background:
Forty Hall is a magnificent Grade 1 listed venue set in 10 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. The banqueting suite occupies a 17th century Jacobean Coach House; an ideal venue for conferences, meetings, dinners, receptions and weddings 20 to 240 guests.

The Challenge:
The venue is run by Richmond Catering and they needed to promote their venue as bookings were down. We were called in to establish a solid design they could carry forward onto print and social platforms and above all to increase bookings and the image of the venue.

Firstly, we organised a photoshoot to make the very best of the amazing architectural features of the venue. Our design followed naturally from our stunning photos and we created a visually exciting site whilst importantly presenting all the content clearly.

Website Features:
Detailed Floor Plans
Online booking forms
Detailed food and drink packages
Location maps

The result:
HB won a four way pitch to design and develop the new website for Forty Hall Banqueting.  After our redesign they received 3 wedding bookings from the launch event alone. They continue to go from strength to strength.

British BIDs Website

, ,

Company Background:
British BIDs lead the way in the development, management, renewal and evolution of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in Britain.

BIDs are business-led partnerships focused on improving and enhancing commercial areas including town and city centres, commercial locations and industrial estates. The company is a privately owned member organisation.  The company lists every BID in Great Britain and presents all the details and documents for each BID. They run events, training courses and professional BID services. British BIDs provide very detailed information about BIDs and are the go to source of information.

The Challenge:
With such a large website (around 800 pages) there is significant amount of data, so our usability and architecture research was going to be key. Our key objective was to present all the information as clearly as possible and to make it easy to navigate.

We created very detailed site architecture for every area of the website and this developed into wireframes of each page layout. At this stage our work was off line making sure that user experience and usability worked impeccably. The key pages of the site  followed from the usability research and the wireframe layouts. Once all these tasks were achieved we created the final designs and development of the site.

As the site was so large we created a “Personal Assistant’ for users. This is a simple one click personal page for each user. The page presents users with their favourite documents, bookmarked pages and follows events on their behalf. It saves time tracking through the website each time when they could go straight to their own assistant page.

With a custom made content management system the client can update the website as much as they wish. We continue to maintain this […]

ITTFA Website

ITTFA Website

, ,

Background:
ITTFA (International Tourism Trade Fair Association) is the professional organisation for the tourism trade around the world, the market place for each country to share knowledge and promote themselves. We won the pitch to rebrand and relaunch this organisation for the global market place. The sibling ETTFA (European Tourism Trade Fair Association) already had a reasonable representation around Europe and the aim was to raise the profile to a global audience and to increase membership.

The Challenge:
We designed the website to be clean and clear, making it easy for users to navigate the site. Visual elements, like the map of the globe made finding each member details easy. The call to join the organisation was prominent on all pages and the website significantly aided increased membership. There is a large members area with a forum, an extensive database of documents and each organisation has their own login area to customise their details and upload files, brand and exhibition details.

Website Features:
Secure Member area for individual organisations including a large document and download area. Web hosting, Search Engine Optimisation, Customised Content Management System and Hosting
